Week 5 – Join Group Discount Sites: Annual Savings: $671
Group discount websites is one of the hottest new trends when it comes to saving money. This ingenious idea gave retailers a new marketing tool and gave millions of consumers huge money savings opportunities by offering negotiated volume discounts to individuals for a 24 hour period (typically).
The discounts offered are tailored to stores in your area, but also come from large retail giants such as Amazon and the Gap. I used these discounts on purchases for myself, but found it more useful for gifts. With large extended families and lots of kids’ birthday parties to attend, it was a great resource to find new things at great discounts. I look forward to the daily deals I receive from each of these websites!
When you join the websites, they offer additional credits if you advertise to your friends and family through email or other social media sites (i.e. Facebook), so go for it to get the maximum savings!
