Week 15 – Host a Party: Annual Savings $120
We’ve all been to them, and many of you have probably hosted them; independent sales parties. Independent sales parties are run by consultants of a large company that come into your home or office and sell their product. The most commonly known ones include Mary Kay, Tupperware and Party Lite. I personally, have never hosted a party until this year. My sister recently became a consultant for Thirty-One, which is a company that sells bag, totes and other items that can be monogrammed/ personalized. There are many benefits of hosting a party, including free hostess gifts, a percentage of your purchases and merchandise credits for purchases. So, I hosted a party for a few friends and purchased merchandise totaling $183, but only owed $63. Yes, I saved a total of $120 and was able to get some great stuff for myself, and also as gifts. And to top it all off, I had a great evening with my girlfriends shopping!
